Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda and 1.o de Agosto return, this Friday (19h00), to the Cidadela pavilion, in the country’s capital, for the second game of the final in “play-offs”, the best of five, of the National Basketball Championship.
Coach Lazare Adingono’s “military” have the advantage, after Wednesday’s 76-71 victory over the “oil-bearers”, in a very balanced challenge until the third and fourth periods.
In the opening match, the player Nico Clareth, from 1o de Agosto, was the top scorer, with 19 points, contributing decisively to the defeat of coach José Neto’s team.
Petro, defending champions, presented a defensive deficit, a situation only corrected in the final moments, but which was very well used by 1.o de Agosto, to maintain the advantage.
The two teams carried out, this Thursday, recovery training and strategies for the second meeting.
1.o de Agosto, with 19, is the team with the most titles won, while Petro has 15.
