Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda and 1o de Agosto will compete, today at 6 pm, at the Pavilhão da Cidadela, in Luanda, in the final of the Angola Cup in senior women’s handball.
After the final of the National Championship, in the province of Benguela, with the triumph of the “oil companies”, the two best teams in the country and the continent return to play, five days later.
The national champions are looking for their 14th trophy, while the opposite side is looking for the sixth.
To reach the final, Petro, coached by Angolan Luís Chaves, eliminated 1o de Agosto’s B team, by 29-20 and 27-24, respectively.
1o de Agosto defeated Casa do Pessoal from Porto do Lobito, with a double triumph of 31-13 and 25-16.
