This is the 11th continental trophy won by the formation of the “eixo-viario”, technically led by Vivaldo Eduardo.
To reach the final, Petro eliminated Al Ahly with a 25-21 victory, while 1o de Agosto overcame AS Otoho, by 45-15.
The host team, Al Ahly, took third place, defeating As Otoho of Congo, by 28-16.
