Africa-Press – Angola. The Border Guard Police (PGF) in the province of Zaire, northern Angola, prevented, last weekend, the illegal entry into national territory of 124 citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The group comprises 71 men and 53 women, indicates a note from the Provincial Interior Delegation sent this Monday, in Mbanza Kongo.
The aforementioned illegal immigrants, adds the document, intended to settle in the territory of the province of Zaire and then move on to the country’s capital, Luanda.
They were questioned at the border posts of Luvo, Nóqui, Buela and Minga, which after interrogation 80 citizens were returned to their country of origin and 44 forwarded to the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) for proper treatment.
Three hundred and 10 kilometers of land and river border separate the province of Zaire from the neighboring DRC.
