Africa-Press – Angola. The Border Guard Police in Lunda Norte, last weekend, prevented the entry of 423 immigrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), who intended to settle illegally in diamond mining areas and reach the capital of the country, Luanda.

According to a note from the delegation of the Interior, sent Monday, the immigrants, accompanied by 66 children, tried to use “fiotes” paths to enter the country illegally.

He said that they were questioned and immediately expatriated in the country of origin at the border posts in the municipalities of Caungula, Lóvua, Cambulo and Chitato.

The province of Lunda Norte shares with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 770 kilometers of land and river border.
