Africa-Press – Angola. The construction works of the 22 de Janeiro Health Center, in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda, have reached a level of physical and financial execution of around 26% and 53%, respectively, an achievement considered satisfactory by the deputy from MPLA, Rosa Branca.
The parliamentarian, who visited, this Thursday, some social infrastructure works included in the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), recognized that there was a significant evolution in terms of physical and financial execution of the respective projects.
Among the works visited, the “Rio Seco” Health Center and the T12 School of Vila Kativa, in the urban district of Sequele, stand out, as well as the operation of the reference health centers in Vila Sede and the Materno Infantil da Comuna. Funda, which serves between 150 and 200 patients daily.
Rosa Branca’s agenda also included the completion of works on the Barra do Bengo/Bairro dos Pescadores section, as well as the rehabilitation and equipping of school 4052, in Bairro Garcia, which increases from three to 12 classrooms.
Despite the progress of the PIIM works, in Cacuaco, the deputy of the national circle of the MPLA parliamentary bench recognized that there are still major challenges in the Education sector, whose schools are not yet completed.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the first day of a cycle of visits that continues this Friday, Rosa Branca said that this finding is part of the inspection work to assess the execution of Cacuaco’s budget plans.
With an estimated population of one million, 237,477 inhabitants, in a territorial area of 571 square kilometers, the municipality of Cacuaco comprises the urban districts of Cacuaco, Kicolo, Mulenvos de Baixo and Sequele, as well as the commune of Funda.
