Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial commander of the National Police in Namibe, commissioner Timóteo Hilário, defended, this Thursday, greater commitment from personnel in actions to combat crime, in order to guarantee greater security and tranquility for the populations of the region.

When speaking at the inauguration of 13 new commanders of the National Police, the high-ranking officer said that the corporation’s work will only gain results when the officers are focused on working for the benefit of the community.

“Our mission will only achieve results when everyone is aware of the need to pay better attention to serving the community, ensuring the safety of the population and the protection of their assets, in line with the rules and laws in force in the country”, he highlighted.

On the occasion, the person in charge congratulated the sworn staff, urging them to work with dynamism and professionalism.

“I hope they bring new dynamics to the organizational and functional process of the areas for which they were appointed. We are aware that we are investing in staff with experience and professional maturity, in favor of the safety of our population”, he added.

During the event, the new commanders of the School Security Brigade were sworn in, Fernando Manuel Cardoso, of the Reactions and Patrolling Unit, Fernando Benge, of the Tombwa Municipal Command, Manuel Tchinanga Tchova, among other officials.
