Africa-Press – Angola. 160 personnel from the Reaction and Patrol Unit, assigned to the Provincial Command of the National Police in Uíge, completed Tuesday, a training course on maintaining public order.
The training, which lasted 45 days, had five local trainers, who addressed security, police intelligence, physical preparation and personal defence, weapons, equipment and shooting, operational techniques, salute, united order and other matters.
Speaking at the ceremony, the head of the Staff Training Department of the PN Provincial Command in Uíge, subintendent Samuel Viegas, explained that, of the total staff trained, 122 are agents, 29 deputy chiefs, seven subalterns and two senior officers.
In the closing speech, the provincial commander of the PN police in Uíge, commissioner Monteiro dos Santos, said that they will continue to invest in training, a measure that aims to promote a spirit of camaraderie, improve preventive techniques in the region.
The provincial commander of the national police urged the trainees to put into practice the subjects that were learned during the training.
Another 109 employees of the corporation, coming from the 15 municipal commands of the PN in the region, started yesterday the same training. Regarding new graduates, Mateiro dos Santos exhorted them to dedicate themselves to training.
