On this matter, Manuel de Assunção was peremptory in stating that it is “fake news”. After being asked if he knew the author of the complaint, Manuel de Assunção replied positively, also saying that the Angolan woman lives in the city of Sumy, which welcomes a total of four Angolans.

Manuel de Assunção explained that Angolans are only entering Poland because this European Union country has offered refuge to those wishing to leave Ukraine. The head of the Angolan community in Ukraine commented on the case of three Angolans who had to return to the city of Lviv, having entered the “wrong border”.

Manuel de Assunção said he was aware of cases of foreigners, such as Brazilians, who, departing from the Ukrainian city of Odessa, make Romania a transit country to reach Poland.

On Saturday, Manuel de Assunção had admitted the possibility of entering Poland for 168 Angolans, from various Ukrainian cities.
