Africa-Press – Angola. The commander of the National Police in Uíge, Commissioner Monteiro dos Santos, warned yesterday that all citizens who remain in them after the vote, on the 24th of this month, will be removed from polling stations to avoid confusion between militants from different political backgrounds.

At the opening of the meeting between the National Police, the Provincial Electoral Commission (CPE) and political groups, the commissioner said that the corporation “will not allow acts that disturb order and tranquility in polling stations”.

He asked the parties and the coalition of competing political parties to appeal to their militants to be guided by a disciplinary conduct, so that the elections take place in a climate of peace, harmony and cordiality.

The commander reaffirmed the availability of the Police to maintain order and security in the province before, during and after the elections.

In turn, the King of the Bayaka, Muanauta Cabamba, asked political parties to accept the results of the August 24 elections.
