Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial secretaries of parties and coalition of political parties, with parliamentary seats in Cuanza-Sul, namely, UNITA, CASA-CE, FNLA and PRS, considered, in Sumbe, important that the population adhere to the data update process, to be entitled to vote next August in the general elections.

The appeal was made, Thursday, on the sidelines of the audience requested by the leaders of the political formations installed in the province, in order to find out about the progress of the projects carried out.

For UNITA’s provincial secretary, Armando Manuel Kaquepa, with the end of the process of updating unofficial data, the way is opened for the electoral campaign, advocating that a climate of security and harmony be created.

Quartim Chilumbulo Portugal, from CASA-CE, considered that the hearing produced satisfactory results, judging by the way in which the Government presented the current situation regarding the implementation of social and economic projects, as well as the progress of the process of updating the Official Electoral Register, five days from the end.

For his part, the provincial secretary of the FNLA, António Sebastião, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that all municipalities were covered with projects, despite slight delays, while the head of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), César Cahombo, said that the meeting made it possible to address issues that affect the social and economic life of populations.

According to the director of Registration and Administrative Modernization of Cuanza-Sul, Manuel Santana, the process is proceeding at a good pace. He added that mobile teams were created and the working hours of technicians in the BUAP were also extended.
