Africa-Press – Angola. The second provincial secretary of the MPLA in Zaire declared yesterday in Mbanza Kongo that the “comrades” party is committed to improving the electoral results obtained in the region in 2017.
Garcia Vieira, who was speaking at the opening of the seminar on “Electoral Political Marketing”, urged all party leaders in the province to work hard to win over the electorate and ensure the victory of the MPLA next August.
“MPLA militants must be prepared and organized, because when we are not organized we cannot think about victory. This seminar aims to stimulate party cadres, at all levels, so that they have the capacity to dialogue and win over the electorate”, he exhorted.
To this end, he stressed, the pre-campaign phase, which ends on 22 July, is a period of engagement for all militants to dialogue and mobilize citizens able to vote and guarantee the victory of the MPLA in the region.
“MPLA militants must be prepared, as the country is in the electoral process, whose moment is pre-campaign – which runs until July 22. Therefore, everyone is fighting to change the results of the past general elections. This seminar methodological approach takes place at a time when the August general elections are approaching, which is why the cadres, at all levels, must be prepared for the political fight, contributing positively to the achievement of the party’s objectives”, he appealed.
For two days, the militants, under the guidance of trainers from the party’s Central Board, will address various topics contained in the six modules pre-selected for the seminar, namely, “Electoral Political Marketing (I)”, “Strategic Planning (I)” , “Organization and coordination of electoral campaigns (I)” and “Electoral mobilization strategies”.
Topics such as “Principles and fundamentals of electoral mobilization”, ” Strategies and techniques of street mobilization”, “From the beginning of the campaign to the end of the electoral act”, “The importance of the image of militants and electoral leaders”, “Electorate segmentation” , “Strategies for attracting and motivating the electorate”, among others, complete the training.
Provincial members of the party, JMPLA and OMA, from the six municipalities, namely Soyo, Nzeto, Tomboco, Kuimba, Nóqui and the capital Mbanza Kongo, will participate in the meeting.
In the 2017 general elections, in the Zaire provincial circle, made up of five deputies, the MPLA won three, UNITA and CASA-CE, both with one.
