Africa-Press – Angola. Around two thousand and 700 inhabitants of the commune of Bengo, in the municipality of Alto Cauale, in the province of Uíge, benefited, this Thursday, from a new drinking water supply system.
Built within the scope of the Local Program to Combat Poverty, the project, budgeted at 23 million Kwanzas, will benefit five peripheral neighborhoods of the municipal headquarters of Bengo.
The deputy municipal administrator for the Economic and Financial area of Alto Cauale, Afonso da Silva, who delivered the water system, said that the project will overcome the lack of water in the commune, as well as shorten the distance that the population travels to purchase it. of the liquid.
On that occasion, the person responsible asked the beneficiaries to preserve the enterprise, aiming to benefit other generations.
