Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, inaugurated, in the early evening of this Wednesday, the Luanda Science Center.

Located in an area of ​​17,667 square meters, the institution, unique in the country, should be a space dedicated to the promotion of science, technology and innovation.

In addition to the exhibition rooms, with 278 modules, the equipment includes a planetarium, video mapping, cinema room, butterfly garden and secular house.

According to explanations given, the planetarium is a celestial projection space, with projectors to explore the cosmos and the stars.

The Mapping video, with 8 projectors, allows you to explore themes such as Angolan reality, the human body, planets, fauna, flora, soap bubbles and refraction of light.

In turn, the cinema room has 146 seats, with special effects, such as vibration, water, sensation of wind and touch, while the butterfly garden allows you to see live butterflies.

The equipment area is Casa Secular, a historic building that predates the 1925 soap factory.

The center is located in the old soap factory, in the Baleizão area, lower part of the city of Luanda, and will have 68 employees.
