Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, reiterated this Sunday his firm desire to work to strengthen existing ties of cooperation and friendship with the Republic of The Gambia.
In his note of congratulations on the 59th anniversary of Gambia’s independence, the Angolan statesman wished the Gambian people well-being and prosperity.
The Gambia is a small country in West Africa that surrounds the lower course of the river of the same name, with a small extension on the Atlantic coast to the west, and an extensive border with Senegal.
The two countries maintain an acceptable level of cooperation, with emphasis on the oil and gas area.
