Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is already in the country, after a two-week work trip that took him to Portugal, South Korea and the United States of America.

In Portugal, the Head of State participated in the 50th anniversary festivities of the 25th of April (Carnation Revolution), in addition to meetings with the Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, and the former Prime Minister, António Costa.

He then made a state visit to the Republic of Korea, with a program in Seoul that included talks with his counterpart, President Yoon Suk-Yeol.

He ended the tour in the North American city of Dallas, where he spoke at the opening of the 16th United States-Africa Business Summit, and participated in two high-level debates on infrastructure in Africa and the continent’s energy future.

In Dallas, the President witnessed the signing of three agreements that represent, globally, financing for Angola of 1.3 billion dollars.

This understanding will allow the construction of solar energy plants, the assembly of 186 metal bridges and the expansion of the Angolan National Radio signal.

The President fulfilled the triple mission accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço.

Upon returning to Luanda, at the airport, the Head of State received greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and other official entities, such as Ministers of State, Ministers and the Provincial Governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem.
