Africa-Press – Angola. A training event for judo technicians and referees took place on Saturday and Sunday, with the participation of 13 practitioners, in the municipality of Banga, Cuanza Norte province, informed the president of the provincial association of the sport, Luís da Cunha.
The event had the participation of practitioners from the residents of Banga, Cazengo, Cambambe, Samba Caju and Lucala.
It aimed to update participants with the new competition rules implemented in that modality.
The training, promoted by the provincial Association of Cuanza Norte de Judo, was guided by the national referee of the modality, Augusto Tambo.
Speaking at the opening act of the event, the acting municipal administrator of Banga, Rui Mulende, highlighted the importance and benefits of practicing sport for health.
The official underlined the availability of the local administration to support initiatives of the kind, which promote social inclusion and the training of young people and adolescents.
Cuanza Norte province controls around 1,000 judo practitioners, according to the head of the association of judokas.
