Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, was decorated this evening, in Dakar, by his Senegalese counterpart, Macky Sall, with the National Order of the Lion, the highest distinction reserved for a foreign Head of State.
The National Order of the Lion of Senegal was founded in October 1960 , the year Senegal gained its independence.
The Head of State, João Lourenço, who is accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, is in Dakar, Senegal, where he will participate, this Monday, in the 8th International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa.
