Africa-Press – Angola. The president, João Lourenço, held, on Thursday afternoon, a telephone conversation related to the security situation in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo with his Burundian counterpart, Évariste Ndayishimiye.
The essential purpose of the contact is the coordination of actions aimed at restoring peace on the Democratic Congo’s border with Rwanda.
According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, the two Heads of State also addressed the status of strengthening bilateral relations, including the possibility of visits at the highest level.
