Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, travels this Thursday to Portugal for a 2-days official visit, at the invitation of the Portuguese authorities in the context of strengthening the existing bilateral cooperation.
According to the press services of the Presidency of the Republic, the agenda of the first day of the visit, Friday, will be marked by meetings with the President of Portugal, Marcelo de Sousa, at the Palace of Belém, and the Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, in São Bento.
Also on Friday, the Angolan head of state will maintain a meeting with representatives of the Portuguese business class, who will also be attended by Angolan entrepreneurs, in a gesture that aims to deepen economic cooperation and explore investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Day goes on with a courtesy visit to the Assembly of the Republic, where President João Lourenço will be received by the leader of the Portuguese Parliament, José Aguiar-Branco.
The day ends with an official dinner at Ajuda Palace, promoted in honor of the President of the Republic.
On Saturday, the 26th, the second and last day of the official visit, whose highlight will be a dialogue between the presidents of Angola and Portugal, moderated by a media professional.
The visit is part of the framework of friendship and cooperation relations between Angola and Portugal, and aims to reinforce political, economic and diplomatic bonds between the two countries.
