Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President João Lourenço dismissed and appointed several officials from different sectors of the public administration on Thursday, as part of the reorganization of the Executive’s services.
According to decrees made public by the Press Services of the Presidency of the Republic, the Head of State dismissed Miguel dos Santos Oliveira from the position of Vice-Governor of Cabinda province for the Political and Social Affairs, and, in the same act, appointed José Cumbo to serve in the aforementioned position.
In another decree, the President of the Republic dismissed Manuel André da Costa Canguezeze from the position of Secretary of State for Urban Planning and Housing, and appointed Conceição Luís Cristóvão to perform duties in the same position.
The Head of the Executive Branch also terminated the mandates of the members of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Mineral Resources, namely Jacinto Ferreira dos Santos Rocha, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Djanira Alexandra Monteiro dos Santos, João Paulino Júlio Chimuco, Lucombo Francisco Pedro and Moisés David, Executive Directors.
For the new term, the same officials were reappointed, who will now be part of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for Mineral Resources, under the chairmanship of Jacinto Ferreira dos Santos Rocha.
