Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, recommended that the deputies strive for the spirit of unity, cohesion and respect for difference, in order to respond to the challenges and contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations.
The parliamentarian spoke to the press at the end of a meeting with the deputies of the National Assembly, for the provincial circle of Cuanza Sul, held this Tuesday, in the city of Sumbe.
“We want to understand, the effort that is being developed, in general, to respond to fundamental questions related to education, health, social assistance, the culture of peace, the principles of the democratic state, employment for youth (…) , so that we can practice advocacy with other institutions”, said Carolina Cerqueira.
He assured that the National Assembly will always guide the respect and recognition of all deputies, regardless of political party.
Regarding the visit to Cuanza Sul, he said it was useful and committed to working with the parliamentary administration, to improve working conditions.
During her visit of a few hours to the city of Sumbe, the president of the National Assembly held a courtesy meeting with the provincial governor of Cuanza Sul, Job Capapinha, with the deputies and visited the premises of the parliamentary nucleus.
