Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, congratulated the Brazilian people on the bicentennial of the Independence of the Federative Republic of Brazil, which is being marked today.
In a message sent to President Jair Bolsonaro, the Angolan Head of State praises the “great role that Brazil has been assuming with respectable strength in the context of South American nations in particular, and the rest of the world”.
João Lourenço highlighted that that brother country “places itself as an essential actor in addressing issues of world peace and security and also as a partner in the development of African countries and Angola in particular.”
President João Lourenço ends his message to the Brazilian statesman by reiterating the firm desire of his Executive to “continue to make efforts to ensure that the two countries maintain in a permanent way the great relations of friendship that bind them”.
