Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, arrived this morning in the province of Cabinda, as part of a three-day working visit, to carry out an agenda of various activities, from the inauguration of important social infrastructures, a meeting with the local government and meetings with civil society in that northern region of the country.
Upon arrival, at the Maria Mambo Café airport, the Head of State was greeted in apotheosis with a crowd of people who were eagerly awaiting him, profiled on the sign of the local aerodrome, as in all the arteries through which the presidential procession passed. The “bakama”, a symbol of local tradition, displayed their gifts in a clear welcome to the President.
João Lourenço’s work agenda for Cabinda, for today, will include, at the meeting with the provincial government, the inauguration of the General Hospital and, at dusk, the Head of the Executive Power will grant audiences to the members of civil society.
On Friday, the second day of his stay in this province, the President of the Republic will inaugurate the Maritime Passenger Terminal and then travel to the Malongo Oil Field to visit the “Lifua” Platform Project.
On Saturday, the last day of his visit, he will preside over a mass political event at the emblematic Estádio do Tafe, in the presence of militants, sympathizers and friends of the party, from the four municipalities in the province.
