Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, regretted the death of the Angolan journalist Gustavo Costa, which occurred in the early hours of last Friday, in Luanda, at the age of 63, victim of illness.
“You sent me a message recently expressing your interest in participating in the party of democracy”, wrote João Lourenço on his Twitter account and quoted by press.
The President of the Republic added: “we didn’t have time to talk about it, let alone say goodbye”.
João Lourenço, in his message, addresses Gustavo Costa as “friend of Silva Porto”, the former name of the current city of Cuito, capital of the province of Bié, and wishes the soul of the deceased to rest in peace.
During his professional career, he worked in several other media, including Jornal de Angola. Until the date of his death Gustavo Costa was working as a correspondent in Luanda for Jornal Expresso.
