Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Supreme Court, Joel Leonardo, held this Wednesday, in Brasília, a working meeting with the leader of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) of Brazil, Maria Thereza Moura, which served to address issues of mutual interest.
In the Brazilian capital to take part in the International Seminar Cortes em Conexão, the also president of the Superior Council of the Judiciary participated in the solemn session of the National Congress in honor of the 35th anniversary of the STJ of Brazil.
The International Seminar Cortes em Conexão, which brings together experts from the international legal community, includes five panels, namely, the use of Plain Language in the Justice System, International Dialogues between Courts, the Role of International Human Rights Courts in the Preservation of Democracies, Intelligence Artificial in the Judiciary and the Protection of Personal Data.
In the field of judicial exchange, a cooperation protocol has been in force since 2014 between the Supreme Court of Angola and the Superior Court of Justice of Brazil.
In 2023, Angola presented a proposal to expand this cooperation with the Federal Justice Council of the Federative Republic of Brazil, with a view to defining and implementing technical instruments for institutional, functional and procedural management improvement.
