Africa-Press – Angola. The president of Wiliete Sport Clube, Wilson Faria, announced Wednesday, free public entry to the Ombaka National Stadium, in eight (8) Girabola2023/24 games in which his team will be the host .
The information was provided during a meeting lasting a few hours with sports journalists from the province of Benguela, in which technical and organizational issues were discussed to facilitate the work of the press.
Wilson Faria said that the games will be announced in advance and they hope, in this way, to contribute to increasing attendance at Girabola games.
In the end, Wiliete’s vice-president, Vitorino Vissele, explained that his management had been receiving some complaints from media professionals, especially regarding access and working conditions at the Ombaka stadium, hence the holding of this meeting.
He explained that journalists had enough space to expose their difficulties in covering the games, and Wiliete’s management promised to do everything to improve these issues starting from the next challenge against Sporting de Cabinda.
He made it known that Wiliete’s management has been working to be closer to the club’s fans and friends, creating the conditions so that people can go to the stadium and identify with the team.
To make this possible, he emphasized, Wiliete has created mobility conditions for football lovers, through an agreement established with the Benguela Railway.
“The CFB runs a train that leaves from Benguela station to Damba Maria, around the Ombaka National Stadium, with the transportation costs borne entirely by Wiliete”, he highlighted.
Wiliete de Benguela occupies 1st place in Girabola 2023/24, with six points, the result of two victories.
The club was founded on September 14, 2018, debuted at Girabola a year later and had the best classification, 4th place, last season.
