Prophetess applauds proposed new administrative division

Africa-Press – Angola. The prophetess and leader of the Theosophical Church, Suzete Francisco praised, this Friday, in Ndalatando (capital of Cuanza Norte), the executive’s initiative to promote a new administrative political division in the country, considering it to be a factor that will promote the bringing essential services closer to the population.

Speaking to the press, at the end of an audience with the provincial governor, Pedro Makita, as part of an evangelical mission to the province, Suzete Francisco said that the executive’s project to create new municipalities essentially aims to promote development and improve living conditions of citizens.

According to the prophetess, given the size of most municipalities in the country, administrators have found it difficult to attract investment to the most remote areas, given the size of the territories under jurisdiction.

The government’s initiative to promote a new administrative political division in the country, with the emergence of new municipalities, will facilitate public management, bring together administrators and the population, as well as allow for an increase in the supply of basic essential services, he advocated.

The proposal for a Law on the New Political-Administrative Division of the country, conceived by the Executive, aims to promote the harmonious development of the national territory, through the alteration of the model of municipality of the State, approved by the Council of Ministers.

It contemplates the division of the provinces of Cuando Cubango and Moxico in two, thus making twenty (20) and the increase from 164 to 581 municipalities.
