Africa-Press – Angola. Public prosecutors from the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Moxico are being trained, in Luena, on electoral civic education, within the scope of the upcoming electoral process.
During two days, the magistrates will improve their knowledge about the phases of the electoral process, the electoral civic education campaign, campaign phases, electoral civic education agents, constitution, operation of polling stations, surveillance and electoral observation.
The president of the Provincial Electoral Commission in Moxico, Baltazar da Costa, highlighted the importance of the event and stressed that the training aimed at magistrates will provide them with knowledge on electoral matters.
For his part, the incumbent public prosecutor, José Buanga, said that the electoral process strives for legality and if there is a violation of electoral legislation, the intervention of the magistrates will be relevant to appease the conflict.
He assured that since the beginning of the electoral campaign, in Moxico there were no electoral crimes or any conduct that characterizes an electoral crime, on the part of the competing political parties.
