Africa-Press – Angola. Interclube baseman Emanuel Quezada said (Friday) in Luanda that he remains confident of equality in the play-offs and in qualifying for the final of the National Senior Men’s Basketball Championship.
Speaking to the press, after the victory over 1.o de Agosto, by 105-103, in the third game of the semi-final, the best of five, he said that Saturday’s confrontation is to win.
The USA player added that the triumph was the result of the group spirit, a union that will remain until the end of the competition.
Inter and 1.o de Agosto will play again from 6 pm on Saturday, at the 28 de Fevereiro pavilion, in Luanda, for the fourth game in this phase of the competition.
In the first two challenges, 1.o de Agosto won by 108-102 and 102-78.
On the other hand, Lazare Adingono lamented his team’s defensive and offensive mistakes, adding that it only remains to continue working towards the goal of winning the title.
The coach said, however, that it will be very difficult to physically recover the team in its entirety, after these three intense games.
On the 1st of August, Hermenegildo Santos was the top scorer, with 26 points, followed by his colleague, Nicol Clarettch, with 21 .
