The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will soon open its diplomatic representation in the country, to strengthen bilateral relations, announced this Tuesday (22), in Luanda, the special envoy of King Ahmed Kattan, at the end of an audience. granted by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, who arrived in the country on Monday from the United States, where he paid a private visit, after the 48-hour state mission to Cape Verde.
Ahmed Kattan, who also serves as adviser to the King of Saudi Arabia, said that, at the meeting, the possibility of strengthening relations between the two countries was evaluated, especially in the ways in which they can increasingly interact and increase cooperation. “The occasion also served to present the greetings of the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, as well as the good wishes for the Angolan people”, highlighted the Saudi politician.
Ahmed Kattan said that Saudi Arabia is bidding to host “Expo 2030” and, accordingly, he assured that he had received the guarantee of support from Angola.
“I would therefore like to express my thanks to the President of the Republic and the Government of Angola, for the support shown to the Government of Saudi Arabia, in hosting Expo 2030”, stressed the special envoy, for whom the organization of the Expo “will surprise Worldwide”. Angola recently opened its Embassy in the Kingdom.
