Schalke stated that the club’s management “has reached an agreement to end the partnership with Gazprom prematurely”, indicating that it is “in talks with representatives of the sponsor” and ensuring that “further information” will be given “later”.

The management of Schalke 04 also assures that the decision “will not affect the financial capacity” of the entity, expressing “confidence” in “announcing a new partner in the near future”.
