Africa-Press – Angola. The Northern Cabotage network company, SECIL Marítima, has reduced the fare of tickets on the Cabinda/Soyo-Zaire route and vice versa from 15,000 to 12,000 kwanzas.

According to the person in charge of SECIL Maritima in Cabinda for the commercial area, Paulo Francisco, the promotion aims to reduce the number of people and goods that wish to visit family members during the festive season.

The promotion started on the 16th of this month and runs until the end of December, with advantages in terms of increasing the weight of luggage per passenger, from 40 kg to 50 kg, and increasing the frequency of the normal route from two trips to three trips (Monday, Wednesday it’s Friday).

The Catamaran has a capacity of 275 passengers and a journey time of around two hours.

The first commercial trip between the two cities on the coast, Cabinda and Soyo, by catamaran-type vessel, took place on April 26 of this year, with only 40 passengers on board.

The route serves more than 200 passengers on a route between the two cities.
