Africa-Press – Angola. The Angola Association of School Book Publishers (ASSAELE), in partnership with Shopping Fortaleza, holds a book fair on Saturday, from 9 am to 4 pm, alluding to the 23rd of April, Book and Copyright Day.
The fair aims to encourage a taste for reading and allow contact between authors, writers and the general public, highlighting the role and importance of books for social development, valuing authors and safeguarding their rights.
The ASSAELE initiative will count on the presence of the publishers of Letras, Popular, Tangente MB Editora, Progresso Editora, Mensagem Editora and Moderna.
The fair will also be marked by the public presentation of the most recent children’s literary work entitled “The Three Butterflies”, by the writer Boneca de Pano. The fair will feature the presence of the writer Cremilda de Lima and a moment reserved for the declamation of poetry in the voice of little Ombembwa.
ASSAELE’s main objective is to safeguard the interests and independence of associated school book publishers operating in Portugal.
Although with a short time of existence, ASSAELE has played a very important role in the equitable distribution of manuals by the various publishers, ensuring and ensuring high quality teaching materials in a quick time.
In addition to defending the rights of associated editors, the association also ensures that the rights of authors of books edited by them are guaranteed.
