Africa-Press – Angola. Shopping Popular, located on the right street of Camama, municipality of Talatona, in Luanda, opens its doors to the public in three days with three thousand of the planned 23 thousand jobs already operational in this first phase.

The information was released on Monday during a press conference by the vice-president of the H&S Group.

Linda Liu discussed the mall’s inauguration program, on which occasion she guaranteed that another 20,000 jobs would be created next year, with the 2nd phase of the project.

At the moment, he said, there are 300 stores available and 90 percent are already occupied and ready for the opening on the 18th.

“The shopping mall is very well located. There was no need to do much advertising and the store owners quickly joined in. We are three days away from opening and ready to welcome customers”, he said.

As part of the reorganization of commerce, the infrastructure received part of the tenants from São Paulo, who will have occupancy discounts of fifty percent.

“We welcome São Paulo store owners, so that they are comfortable and safe to develop their businesses. Our shopping mall also attracted many international brands, but we also want to help Angolan brands”, he said.

The executive director of the Hebrumel group, Hedson Jerónimo, who has worked in various areas for more than 15 years, stated that they will be present at Shopping Popular with the opening of the first store in Angola, which allowed them to create 60 jobs.

He said that the brand they own has been operating on the international market since 2011, a combination of China and Japan in a variety of products, from perfumes, clothes, toys and more.

“It is an international brand with pre-defined policies. The goal is to establish a factory in Angola for national production”, he said.

According to Hedson Jerónimo, the policies to attract investment and create jobs that Angola is carrying out attracted the brand.
