Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment, Filipe Zau, said Tuesday (01), in Luanda, at the opening of the Luanda Carnival parade, held at the Angola Public Television Production Center (TPA), in Camama, which the rain that fell in the country’s capital “was part of the party”.

Filipe Zau stated that “I remember as if it were today, that the first editions of Carnival in the capital took place in the rain”, adding that the rain is part of the party. “We are here to have fun, this side of leisure and of culture is also an economic factor”.

Filipe Zau explained that with the heat in the capital, rain is needed.

The party of the “crowds” of Luanda provided the reunion of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment with some renowned national musicians, especially Carlos Lamartine and the artistic director of the Luanda Carnival, António Vicente “Santocas”.

For the president of the Luanda Provincial Carnival Association (APROCAL), Tany Narciso, the rain that fell yesterday afternoon technically prevented the groups from seeing the live percussion sound.

The great fear that the technicians had, he explained, was of the musicians performing with the microphones under the serene, which fell until the parade of the first four groups, namely União Twabixila, Povo da Quissama, União Sagrada Esperança and Etu Mudietu.
