Africa-Press – Angola. The candidate on the single list, in the elections at Sporting de Cabinda, Júlio da Cruz, was elected, on Tuesday, the new president of the club, for the next four years, with 40 votes.

Júlio Moreira da Cruz, who replaces Bartolomeu Fuca, who directed the club’s affairs for three years, will have as vice-presidents for Institutional and Social Affairs, Finance and Heritage, Sports, Culture and Recreation, and Administration and Membership Registration, André dos Santos, Francisco John, Joaquim Mota and Manuel Isaías, respectively.

Daniel Bonga and Paulo Massibo are the Members, the Supervisory Board is guided by Paulino Pires, while the Board of the General Assembly is chaired by Eduardo Cena and Sérgio Manuel as vice-president.

In his speech, Júlio da Cruz, said that the priority at the moment is to guarantee the football team in the next National Championship of the first division (Girabola 2024/2025).

He said that in order to fulfill this aim, he wants the union of partners, supporters, friends, supporters and public and private institutions in favor of the only representative of the province of Cabinda, in Girabola.

He advocated the need to carry out urgent reforms, in all areas that make up the club, in order to rescue good practices, such as transparent management and bringing the management ever closer to members, fans, supporters and friends of the club.

Founded in August 1925, Sporting de Cabinda is second to last in the First Division National Championship, with 17 points.
