Africa-Press – Angola. The students of the Protestant University in Congo (UPC) highlighted in Kinshasa the figure of the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, in support of the struggle for freedom and the Independence of Africa.

The appreciation of the memory of the National Hero was highlighted last Saturday, on the sidelines of the lecture on the “Life and Work of António Agostinho Neto: 1922-2022”, within the scope of the Centenary of the founder of the Nation, promoted by the Embassy of Angola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Kinshasa.

Jean-Marie, a Congolese theology student, considered Agostinho Neto as one of the great leaders who marked the history of Angola and Africa in difficult periods, dominated by colonial oppression.

For student Emille Florence, the exhibition of Agostinho Neto’s work will allow for a better understanding of her trajectory of struggle.

In a message addressed to UPC students, the Angolan ambassador to the DRC, Miguel da Costa, who was represented by his assistant, Clementina Cardoso, highlighted Agostinho Neto as a man of great wisdom, at the same time he highlighted a triple dimension.
