Africa-Press – Angola. The employees of the Supreme Court, this Tuesday (21), paralyzed their work activities and demand equal pay, like other higher courts, as they justify.
Speaking to the press, Domingos Feca, coordinator of the installation commission of the Workers’ Union of the Supreme Court, said that the employees of the Supreme Court are demanding the equalization of salaries to those practiced by the Courts of Account and Supreme Court, Constitutional Court and Military Court.
“It is not understood that we are the first in the constitutional order and the last, from the salary point of view,” he said.
The strike that started today could last until 1 April and also compromises the so-called minimum services of the institution.
However, it assumes that a remuneration statute in the Angolan justice sector is in the pipeline and that it is awaiting its entry into force. He also guaranteed availability for any negotiation with the authorities to overcome the situation.
