Africa-Press – Angola. The 1° de Agosto swimmer, Yano Elias, won (Thursday) the title of champion in the only event of the 1500-metre freestyle, with 19:05.12, in the Absolute National Swimming Championship, taking place at the Alvalade swimming pool , in Luanda.
The athlete was seconded by Guilherme Sousa, from the Clube Náutico da Ilha de Luanda (CNIL) 20:53.32, taking the silver medal, Emanuel Chiocola (August 1st) obtained third place (bronze medal) with 21:17.46 .
In the final of the 800m freestyle event, the absolute trophy was won by Maria Parimbelli, from the CNIL, who crossed the finish line with a time of 10:59.76, followed by Beatriz Maria, from Onda Sport Clube, with 11:46.16.
Inara Santos, also from CNIL, stood out in the single series, keeping the bronze medal with 12:11.24, among seven competitors.
In the women’s 400m freestyle qualifiers, Rhanya Santo of the CNIL is ahead with a record of 5:06.10, while her teammate, Welwitchia Silva, takes the immediate place, with a time of 5:26.91.
The athlete from 1o de Agosto, Jasmine Lourenço, was in third place with a time of 5:39.03.
In men, the elimination of the 400m freestyle, is led by swimmer from 1° de Agosto Djamel Pires with a time of 4. 38: 63.
The athlete leaves the second position to his opponent David Padre, from CNIL with a time of 4:43:70.
Santiago Guimarães, who is also a CNIL swimmer, took third place with 4:50.89, a mark that constitutes the national record for children, whose final takes place on Friday.
CNIL leads with three medals (gold, silver and bronze), followed by 1.o de Agosto with two (one gold and one bronze) and Onda Sport Club, with one silver.
The event, which closes the 2022-2023 competitive season, continues on Friday, with 4 more events, one of which is 1500m freestyle and 400m styles, for women, and 800m freestyle and 400m styles, for men.
