Africa-Press – Angola. Linhas Aéreas de Angola – TAAG carried out, Wednesday (24), from Luanda to several destinations and vice-versa, a total of 46 flights, of which 20 international and 26 domestic.
Contrary to any speculation about an alleged closure of Angolan airspace on Election Day, TAAG carried out eight (8) international flights from Luanda.
Two flights departed yesterday and arrived today in Luanda from Lisbon (Portugal) and São Paulo (Brazil). One leaves at 6:20 am today from Luanda to Lisbon.
Overall, of international flights, eight (8) flights departed, yesterday, from Luanda, bound for Belgium (4:10 pm), Cape Town – South Africa (1 pm), Lagos – Nigeria (12 pm), Johannesburg – South Africa ( 1:20 pm), Whindoeck – Namibia (2:35 pm), Lisbon – Portugal (8:55 pm), Lagos – Nigeria (11:30 pm) and the one to Lisbon – Portugal, which takes off at 6:20 am today (Thursday).
Regarding the arrival flights, just yesterday, they came from Cape Town – South Africa (6pm), Lagos – Nigeria (7pm), Johannesburg – South Africa (7pm), Whindoeck – Namibia (7.05pm), Lisbon – Portugal (6:30 am), Johannesburg – South Africa (10:30 am), Lisbon – Portugal (7:05 am), FrankFurt – Germany (6:25 am), Istanbul – Turkey (10:55 am), and São Paulo – Brazil (5:35 am).
Domestic Flights
As for domestic flights, a total of 26, 12 departed from Luanda, bound for Cabinda (8h), Lubango – Huíla (8h35), Ondjiva – Cunene (10h45), Luena – Moxico (11h55), Cabinda (12h10), Dundo – Lunda-Norte (2:00 pm), Saurimo – Lunda-Sul (2:25 pm), Huambo (3:40 pm), Cabinda (4:20 pm), Lubango – Huíla (5:05 pm), Catumbela – Benguela (6:50 pm), Namibe (7:35 pm) and Cabinda (8:30 pm) . On arrivals, the flights that landed on the domestic 4 de Fevereiro were from Cabinda (9:40 am), Lubango (10:50 am), Ondjiva (1:25 pm), Luena (11:55 am), Cabinda (1:50 pm), Dundo (4:35 pm), Saurimo (4:50 pm) , Huambo (5:40 pm), Cabinda (6:00 pm), Lubango (7:20 pm), Catumbela (8:40 pm), Namibe (10:00 pm) and Cabinda (10:10 pm), respectively.
Flights to and from Lubango, Huíla province, for example, take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, over a distance of 672 kilometers, covered in an average of 1h20 minutes, aboard a Dash 8-Q400, planes now used by the Angolan flag company for local calls.
