Africa-Press – Angola. Angola Airlines “TAAG” is implementing a plan to re-accommodate passengers and reinforce operations on the Luanda–Cabinda route, with a view to restoring normality on Tuesday (14).

According to a statement from TAAG’s corporate communications and press office, 205 passengers are awaiting re-accommodation, and an exclusive area has been created to serve this connection, with the aim of improving operational management.

As part of the operation, the company has already carried out a first extraordinary flight, which transported 74 passengers in each direction, and a second flight with the same capacity is being prepared.

Two regular flights are also scheduled, on Boeing 737 aircraft, with a total capacity of 120 passengers each, integrating regular and re-accommodated travelers.

The operation also included two additional extraordinary flights on Dash (Q400) aircraft, in the afternoon and evening periods.

In total, three extraordinary flights were scheduled throughout the day, complemented by two regular flights, with the aim of accelerating the normalization of the situation.

According to the note, TAAG estimates that the situation will be resolved by soon, anticipating the progressive stabilization of operations by the end of the week and the restoration of regular flights on the Luanda–Cabinda–Luanda route from Sunday.
