Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty technicians from some municipal administrations in Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte and Moxico, are participating, since this Monday, in Saurimo, in training on supervision of Community Development Agents (ADECOS).

Lasting 20 days, the training action promoted by the Social Support Fund (FAS) in Lunda Sul, aims to train them in matters that also enable them to be ADECOS trainers in the areas where they provide services.

During the training, participants will address issues related to health, community development, agriculture and social protection, the latter being new to ADECOS.

On the occasion, the provincial director of FAS, João Muhongo, said that the methodology to be addressed during the training will allow for greater effectiveness of the responsibilities they have, as well as preparing them to better attend to the issues related to community agents.

He stated that the ADECOS are front line agents that interact with the community, for those who will supervise their activity, they must be equipped with appropriate tools and techniques, to take the process forward.

He appealed to the participants to absorb the knowledge responsibly, with a view to being replicated in the best possible way to the ADECOS and that the communities where they work gain in what their actions are.

The Social Support Fund in Lunda Sul controls 84 Community Development Agents, distributed in the municipalities of Cacolo, Muconda and Saurimo.
