The tennis players Jolino Simão, Joaquim Domingos, Justino Rodrigues (KVC) and Riqueline Lemos (Clube de Ténis de Luanda) are part of the national teams, in men, Sirka Assonjo, Catarina Manaças (KVC), Ana Lemos (Jacquisa) and Dandara Roque (Banguela Banana), in females.

In the previous Zonal, held in Zimbabwe, only the Angolan player Daniel Domingos (KVC) managed to qualify for the African Championship, held in Tunisia, in April this year, where he positioned himself among the ten best on the continent.

The next African Championship does not yet have a defined date or host country.
