Africa-Press – Angola. Angola’s Foreign minister, Téte António, is part of the list of the 100 most influential political figures on the African continent.
The mentioned list was published as part of the “The 100 Most Reputable Africans” initiative.
According to a statement released by the organizers this weekend, the recognition was awarded by Reputation Pool, Forbes and other prestigious international research agencies as part of The 100 Most Reputable Africans initiative, which highlights personalities whose influence is based on integrity, impact and credibility, with repercussions on the projection of the African narrative at continental and international level.
According to the organizers, the selection recognizes figures with consistent leadership in the areas of governance, diplomacy and development, with relevant contributions to Africa’s affirmation in the international system.
The distinction highlights Téte António’s role in African diplomacy, particularly in promoting peace, multilateral cooperation and regional integration.
The Reputation Poll International publication highlights Téte António as an experienced diplomat whose international career has been dedicated to promoting democratic values, peace and security across the continent.
The publication highlights that Téte António has served as Permanent Observer of the African Union (AU) to the United Nations (UN) since 2009, playing a central role in representing Africa’s collective interests within the UN system.
Poll International also points out that he has extensive experience in peacebuilding, conflict prevention and multilateral diplomacy, having earned widespread respect for his vast experience and strong diplomatic leadership.
The list of the 100 most influential Africans compiled by Poll International also includes Angolan M’zée Fula Ngenge, chairman of the African Diamond Council (ADC) and the African International Diamond Exchange (AIDEX), as well as Angolan Ernestina Matias, a religious apostle, considered a committed servant leader whose ministry emphasises transformation, discipline and a faith-centred life.
In the framework of this recognition, the Angolan ambassador to Tanzania, Domingos de Almeida Silva Coelho, sent a congratulatory message to the minister, considering the distinction a recognition of his diplomatic career, his leadership and his contribution to strengthening Angolan diplomacy and the positive reinforcement of Africa in the international context.
The diplomat emphasises that the distinction values not only minister Téte António, but also Angola, as it reflects the government’s commitment to the principles of good governance and constructive dialogue.
