Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, this Thursday exhorted Angolan diplomats to exercise a dynamic and assertive diplomacy, with the participation of all officials, from top to bottom.
Téte António, who was speaking during the closing ceremony of the IX Extended Consultative Council of MIREX, pointed to the need for collective action in order to successfully carry out the mission of promoting the image of Angola abroad, as well as attracting investments within the framework of the diversification of the economy.
The minister reminded the diplomats that the first function is to represent Angola abroad, a function that must be
carried out with zeal, pride and discipline, notwithstanding any difficulties.
According to the minister, the speech by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, serves as a guide for
more assertive action.
“The tools given during this meeting are essential to break taboos and the current work culture, in order to contribute to a better MIREX, which can support, with excellence, the holder of the Executive Branch and of which we can be proud”, he underlined
. .
The advisory council, which took place under the motto “MIREX and Angolan diplomatic action in the current international context: challenges and perspectives”, aimed to carry out a periodic assessment of performance in the field of foreign policy and diplomacy.
The event also served to assess the degree of coordination between the MIREX structures and government partners, plan activities for the current year, reinforce internal organization and analyze the main issues of international politics.
