Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, defended, this Monday, in Luanda, greater cooperation in the treatment of questions on foreign policy and international cooperation.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony of the secretaries of State recently appointed by the President of the Republic, the official said that the sector must also give greater relevance and coordination of its tasks, as well as improve the working conditions of officials, with a view to more diplomatic active.
When introducing the Secretaries of State for the Angolan Communities, Vieira Lopes, Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, and Administration, Finance and Heritage, Maria Fragoso Auxiliar, the minister said that the latter position will serve to assist him in matters related to the general organization.
He pointed out the tasks of the person in charge of managing the financial resources allocated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, based on the rigor of public affairs, as well as coordinating, guiding and supervising the activities of the General Secretariat.
The Secretary of State Maria Fragoso Auxiliar is also responsible for managing the Human Resources and Budget Administration and Management departments. In statements to the press, she indicated that her first task was to carry out an exhaustive diagnosis of the Ministry’s financial situation, with emphasis on diplomatic missions.
According to the official, there is a need to become aware of the real situation in the sector before taking measures related to financial management. Maria Fragoso Auxiliar previously served as director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves.
