Africa-Press – Angola. An exhibition of Photography Ballerina Project Portugal, by the Portuguese photographer The Black Sheep, is on view until the 22nd of this month, at Camões – Centro Cultural Português in Luanda (CCP).
Ballerina Project Portugal is a project that quickly seizes the senses. The boldness of some positions, the elegance of the movements or the apparent levitation make us observe each image in detail. After decoding the movement, immortalized by the camera lens, beautiful and intangible to most mortals, the scenario appears. Behind, you can see places in two important Portuguese cities, Porto and Lisbon, which are also contrasting in their idiosyncrasies, but equally bold and elegant.
Historical places, common places, past and present places are presented behind each dancer, evoking their own memories, of those who passed by, or arousing the curiosity of those who still don’t know. A new interpretation for each place is also proposed with this artistic project.
According to a Camões press release, “thus we started the year 2022 with a different proposal, with a search for beauty and balance within more or less familiar places. has already become, in a way, familiar, but that every day still continues to demand positions, sometimes bold, sometimes balanced, in the hope of returning the necessary tranquility to our daily lives”.
Ballerina Project Portugal exhibits 48 black and white photographs, which can be viewed from Monday to Thursday, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm; and Friday, between 9 am and 1 pm.
The Ballerina Project Portugal Photography Exhibition is organized by Camões – CCP and supported by Cafés Delta Q.
