Africa-Press – Angola. The 9th Tokyo International Conference on Africa’s Development (TICAD9) kicked off on Wednesday (19), in the city of Yokohama, with a speech from Japan’s Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba.
Before the African Union acting chair, João Lourenço, and several African delegations, the Japanese leader reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the partnership with the continent, highlighting sectors such as technological innovation, industrialization, energy transition, and human capital development.
The conference runs until the end of the current week and brings together African leaders, international partners, and businesspeople to discuss joint strategies for trade, investment, and sustainable development.
