Africa-Press – Angola. Close to two thousand boys and girls celebrated Sunday, in Luanda, the twenty-second anniversary of the institutionalization of the Tocoista Children’s Day.

During the festivities, which took place during a Sunday service of thanksgiving at the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World “Os Tocoistas”, the children sang religious hymns and performed a jester recital.

The little ones, at the end, received gifts and with the rest of the faithful present they enjoyed a birthday cake.

At the end of the event, the leader of the Tocoista Church, Bishop Afonso Nunes, said that the children participated in the party to express their joy at having a date that concerns them.

According to the religious, the joy of the children demonstrates that there is hope for the continuation of God’s work and also hope for a peaceful tomorrow in the world.

The National Children’s Council, a body that brings together tocoistas children under 18 years of age, was institutionalized on May 20, 2001, by the spiritual leader of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World, Bishop Afonso Nunes.
